Chicks in a Quilt

Prep Time: 10 min | Cook Time: 20 min | Servings: 1

They’ve got pigs in a blanket, we’ve got chicks in a quilt—everyone’s favorite party app, made with chicken sausage! This recipe couldn’t be easier. All you need is our Classic Roasted chicken sausage, a package of crescent rolls dough, and a little egg wash. Roll, wrap, repeat, and let the party begin—or get ahead of that party by pre-rolling and freezing the chicks for later! For a little breakfast-time oomph, we’ve paired this with a delicious maple Dijon sauce, but these are great with most any dipping sauce any time of the day.

1
Preheat the oven to 375℉. Cut each Classic Roasted Chicken sausage into thirds.

Open up crescent roll dough and cut each triangle into 3 thin triangles, the longest part being about 1-inch wide. Roll each sausage piece in a dough strip and place seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
3
Brush each piece with egg wash and bake until golden brown, about 13-15 minutes.
4
For the sauce: While those chickies cook, mix the Dijon mustard, mayo, and maple syrup together in a bowl.
5
Serve warm with a side of sauce, morning, noon, or night.
