This easy take on pigs in a blanket uses chicken sausage and crescent rolls for a kid-friendly, crowd-pleasing breakfast appetizer. Just grab our Classic Roasted Chicken Sausage, a package of crescent rolls dough, and a little egg wash. Roll, wrap, brush, repeat for an all-ages poppable that leaves everyone satisfied. These little chickies are great dipped in runny egg yolk or dunked in our homemade maple-dijon sauce. And while they’re sure to become the star of your breakfast spread, they’re also fantastic anytime snacks too.

1 package Classic Roasted chicken sausage
1 8-count package Crescent roll dough
1 whole egg, beaten and mixed with 1 tsp water
4 tablespoons dijon mustard
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon maple syrup

Preheat the oven to 375℉. Cut each Classic Roasted Chicken sausage into thirds.

Open up crescent roll dough and cut each triangle into 3 thin triangles, the longest part being about 1-inch wide. Roll each sausage piece in a dough strip and place seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Brush each piece with egg wash and bake until golden brown, about 13-15 minutes.

For the sauce: While those chickies cook, mix the Dijon mustard, mayo, and maple syrup together in a bowl.

Serve warm with a side of sauce, morning, noon, or night.
